During the 1st i.s.t.a.a. AGM held in Warsaw in October 2009, the participants agreed the basic criteria for selecting the right sports travel partners.
i.s.t.a.a. provides sports travel professionals the most specialised networking platform worldwide, promoting cooperation, business opportunities, information and education.
The members meet once a year at the i.s.t.a.a. AGM & conference, are given access to the member contacts directory, can include their news in the i.s.t.a.a. newsletter, submit their offers and requests to other members and have the opportunity to participate in work groups and group chats created for specific events.
Membership applications are reviewed by the Board twice a year (April-May, October-November).
Please submit your membership application before the end of March or before the end of September.
After receiving your application we will request from you any additional supporting documents needed.
All approved applicants are required to sign the Code of Conduct in order to be admitted.
Active member
Will receive an i.s.t.a.a. certificate, an Active member logo and access to the member network, tools and information.
Will be fully empowered to vote and to be elected for any existing i.s.t.a.a. body or committee.
Will be empowered to address their recommendations directly to the Board table.
Cannot be excluded from i.s.t.a.a. if the membership fee is duly payed on time and if the basic membership criteria is met.
Can change its status to Associate member if due to changes ceases to meet the basic criteria.
Has the right to be informed about all plans and activities of the Board and entire association.
Associate member
Will receive an i.s.t.a.a. certificate, an Associate member logo and access to the member network, tools and information.
Is empowered to be elected or nominated to work for i.s.t.a.a. in established Committees.
Can address their recommendations to the Committee or Plenary Session.
Loses the membership automatically if the membership fee is not paid on time or ceases to meet the basic criteria.
Can also be upgraded to active member status if the basic criteria are met and after the first 2 years of membership.
Has the right to be informed about all the activities of i.s.t.a.a.
Partner member
Will receive an i.s.t.a.a. certificate, a Partner member logo and access to the member network, tools and information.
Is a satellite business body with strong financial and professional position as well as clear and transparent ethical foundation andmission in their business environment.
Is able to bring and add value to the i.s.t.a.a. members.
Is a major entity ready to co-exist without competing in the sports travel industry.
Is empowered to participate in the i.s.t.a.a. general meetings, to work in committees and participate in the information flow.
Can present their business offers to the members with the approval of the Board of Directors.
Affiliated Partner
Will have access to the member network, tools and information.
Is a satellite business body with strong financial and professional position as well as clear and transparent ethical foundation and mission in their business environment.
Is able to bring and add value to the i.s.t.a.a. members.
Can present their business offers to the members with the approval of the Board of Directors.
